CS alerts high alert due ot incessant

Following the alert from that heavy rains for two days throughout the state, Chief Secretary A Shanti Kumari has instructed the District Collectors to take preventative measures in order to prevent any loss of life or property.

The CS held a teleconference with the District Collectors today on the precautions to be taken in the wake of heavy rains in the state.

Shanti Kumari said that and the state's border regions are experiencing severe rainfall, adding that people should be ready to handle any form of unexpected disaster. There is a chance of a cloud burst in certain places, as warned, she said.

The CS said that the control rooms ought to be established at the state secretariat, , and each district collector's office. An effective surveillance is necessary to prevent individuals from leaving flooded and low-lying locations.

Jitender said that all police commissioner offices and SPs in the state have been alerted. He also said that instructions were given to the officials to work in coordination with the District Collectors and to set up control rooms in all commissionerates and SP offices.
