Help and support are vital for persons with mental illnesses, not just from their families or care givers but also the public in general. Founded in Guwahati, Assam in 1996, Ashadeep has been trying to fill up this gap by facilitating post-clinical rehabilitation of persons with mental illnesses. Amid the COVID-19 crisis, when all of us are already facing newer challenges in battling the pandemic, let us spare a moment for persons with mental illnesses. Support Ashadeep -- your contribution can help many such individuals in these difficult times. Thank you for your support. We have included information about Ashadeep below. Ashadeep's mission is to initiate and strengthen interventions for persons with mental disorders and their families in the North Eastern states of India, in an attempt to achieve a life of better quality for them. Over 360 individuals suffering from mental illness and intellectual disability have received therapy, special and conventional education, training in sports and vocational activities in Ashadeep Day Rehabilitation Centre since 1996. Over the years, Ashadeep has also moved into the area of rehabilitation of homeless persons with mental illness. Wandering on the streets of Guwahati. Over 900 persons have been provided treatment ,care and rehabilitation resulting in thr reintegration of most of them with their families.
