Lits Today....This is where it comes in....

What are the major aspects of constituting India? Can we define our country forgetting the cultures of our countryside? What are we propagating as news? Don’t the common people make any news? What’s happening in the laboratories of our various research institutes? How’s India running in the race of entrepreneurs globally? What's happening to our Universities and educational institutions. Our discussions regarding these issues are fading day by day. Our mainstream media has no time to discuss about rural distress, agrarian crisis, threat to the freedom of speech.

The People’s Linguistic Survey of India 2010 has identified 780 languages in India using 82 scripts, most of which speak in Rural India. There are 196 endangered languages (UNESCO Atlas of the World’s Languages in Danger 2009) in our country. But the Eighth schedule of our constitution lists only 22 languages! The state of Indigenous languages reflects the condition of Indigenous people and their culture. Their stories are never going viral. The cultures were grown around these languages never made news in mainstream media.

In one side, we are making our country great in the field of science and technology, simultaneously spreading pseudo-science. It is very essential to create scientific temperament in our society.
