A Simple Killing has made the selection cut for 2024.

In the film we see Mai, a Vietnamese woman living on her own in an old farm house in the Irish Countryside, she is about to take her own life, when Anna, a young woman knocks on the front door. Anna in labour and on the run from her abusive husband sparks a feeling of unity in MAI, and she decides to help her in her hour of need.

The thriller deals with themes of domestic violence and grief through spactacularly cinematic shooting style and suspense filled, storytelling.

Winning the FilmOffaly short film bursary, awarded by and supported by first artist bursary scheme, the film was shot on location in in a Co production between and Five Line Films.

Kiwi 🥝 in an increasingly polarised Ireland, a trad singers dual identity captures both the love and hate of the far right.

Night Driver 🌃🚖 centres around Ngozi,. African immigrant Taxi Driver in Dublin City. One faithful night her dashcam records famous fashion model Eve in an act of infidelity. This plunges Ngozi into a dark obsession with Eve and she ends up pushing her moral compass to the limit by blackmailing her.

Remote Strutting has gone and strutted it's way into 🌟👏👏👏👏👏

It's the largest short film festival in the North West of England and sits amongst the Top 10 short film festivals in the UK. Located in Greater Manchester the festival holds accreditation from both BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television Arts) and BIFA (British Independent Film Award 🎥🏆

Thank you for the wonderful screening. We were blown away by the reaction from the audience, everyone laughed at the jokes, awed at the striefs and whoop whooped at the Ed of the film.

Getting the opportunity to screen infrom to of an audience and experience the reaction is the reason we made it.

The story of Remote Strutting centres around Mia, an imaginative young IT professional who overcomes her hidden insecurities in order to come back to the real world.

We are delighted abs excited to have our Film Offaly funded short film "A Simple Killing" will have it's world premiere at Raindance film festival on the 28th of June 2024.

Boasting a stellar cast of Daphne Cheung, Claire Gavin and Aidan O'Callaghan.

It was Directed by the extremely talented, up and comer Jason Branagan who is completing his MA at Raindance Film School.
