The Acoustic Yard 5th Anniversary Concert
The Acoustic Yard celebrates it’s 5th Anniversary with a special concert in Matt Molloy’s Yard Bar Westport on Wednesday September 4th with Madrid based band Track Dogs supplying some Latino Grooves and Cuban Rhythms, a perfect way to end the summer.
The Acoustic Yard has been organising a festival every May and dozens of events in various venues over the last 5 years in Westport, giving a platform to local, national and international songwriters from around the world.
Organiser David Dee Moore has also recorded over 200 radio shows on www.bluesandrootsradio.com with his weekly programme on every Friday at 6.30pm. The station attracts up to a million listeners every week and has become a valuable outlet for emerging irish artists.
To celebrate this achievement The Acoustic Yard has organised one of the hottest bands in Europe, the fabulous Track Dogs. Comprised of 2 Irishmen, 1 Englishman and 1 American the band came together in 2011 to make their unique brand of acoustic music; a veritable 4×4 of voices and instruments identified for their dynamic fusion of styles including folk, latin, Americana & even some bluegrass.
