*GPF Holds Press Briefing on Six Allege Robbers* .

On Tuesday, 6th August, GPF(Gambia Police Force)held a press briefing at Banjulinding anti crime unit. This press briefing is geared towards updating the public about the current criminal case on the six alleged criminals who attacked the residence of Abdul Lamin and Mbakery Sowe armed with cutlasses and knives at Brufut Heights, resulting to significant property loss and in the process stabbed watchman of Mbakery Sowe and Morro Ceesay who is currently at Kanifing General hospital for medical treatment.

Properties stolen at Abdul Lamin's residence are teckno pop 5 mobile phone worth five thousand dalasi(D5,000.00),solar light worth one hundred thousand dalasi (D1000,00), two wrist watches mark cartis and seiko which worths 40 dollars each and thirty thousand dalasi (D30,000.00).

APC Momodou Sowe Highlighted to the press on the robbery cases stated that a week ago on 25th July 2024, anti crime unit was informed of an arm robbery attack at 3 to 4 am at Brufut heights when a group of robbers were on act robbing two compounds at Brufut Heights.

Meanwhile he added that when the team(anti crime unit) responded, they were able to arrest one of the robbers, during the investigation one of the robber who was arrested gave them identification to the rest of the team.
Thus, on Sunday, 25th of July 2024, these robbers were arrested in an apartment at Bijilo (SKYS APPARTMENT).

These alleged robbers attacked four different compounds between 4th July to 24 July 2024 at Sanchaba.

They also attacked a resident of jamburr and likewise a woman.

This is the same alleged gang that has been robbing people from Kanifing to the West Coast Region.

Job Description
We are looking for a Marketing Specialist who will play a pivotal role in shaping our online tv brand image and driving revenue growth through innovative marketing strategies. Our desired candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing campaigns, both online and offline, to attract sponsors for our online tv, photoshoot clients and engage our loyal customer base.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Support the Managing Director in executing the annual marketing plan.
Creation and implementation of Social Media Calendar for all GMEB Oline tv profiles.
Selection and approval of influencers' collaborations together with the marketing team.
Organization, coordination, and ex*****on of all material for photoshoots & video shoots.
Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
Design and content development of brochures, advertisements, newsletters, flyers, and other marketing materials. Knowledge of the GMEB TV Oline Package is required.
Ensure all visual elements adhere to our brand guidelines and reflect our unique brand identity.
Ex*****on of email marketing campaigns.
Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Google, and more.
Monitor and analyse social media performance using analytics tools.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years in a similar position.
Copywriting skills with a good sense of aesthetic.
Passion for media, going above and beyond to create memorable moments for our guests.
Experience in creating and implementing Social Media Calendars.
Experience dealing with influencers and able to prepare an influencer strategy.
Experience with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook Ads Manager.
Absolute comfort with Social Media channels, including paid ads.
Customer-oriented and able to properly interact with our customers on any public channel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flawless knowledge of English.
Proficiency in GMEB TV Online Package.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Proactive in identifying issues and taking ownership to resolve them.
Ability to work independently but also function as a team player to meet internal deadlines.
Capable of working in a dynamic environment, handling multiple projects, prioritizing appropriately, and responding to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive attitude.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Knowledge of video shooting and editing using Adobe premiere pro
Knowledge in editing using green screen
Experience in the media industry.
Certification in digital marketing.
Experience with other advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Instagram Ads).

On Friday, July 12, 2024, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, is scheduled to arrive in The Gambia on a working visit lasting one day.
At 10:30 AM, H.E. President Adama Barrow will greet his visitor at the Banjul International Airport.
The two will meet in private at the State House. President Barrow will then throw a luncheon in President Addo's honour.
The President of Ghana will meet with the ECOMIG Ghanaian detachment in Barra, on the North Bank, in a separate engagement.
President Addo will conclude his tour and leave Banjul at 6:05 p.m. with a press conference at the Banjul International Airport.
