Look no further than our fully kitted out drum studio with sound treated walls, high quality gear, low volume cymbals and noise cancelling studio headphones - all you need to do is show up, everything is provided! We aim to create a comfortable, accessible space for everyone to hone their skills without prying eyes or worrying about neighbours.

We're opening up eight 30 minute slots from 4-8pm for people to try on Friday! Grab a beer and a sausage, wander round the studios and exhibitions and come for a bash around in the throne room!

IMPORTANT SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

In order to make the Throne Room more accessible for people, we've decided to do two things:

1. If you are a student of Tom Warner Drummer/Tutor taking weekly or fortnightly lessons, you can use the throne room for free up to an hour once a week, during any times I'm in teaching. This can be arranged with me privately to coordinate timings with private hirers booked slots.
2. If you are already hiring The Throne Room - Drum Practice Spaces privately, you get a free 30 minute lesson every month to help work on things you feel you might want to improve on, ask questions you might have crop up and learn new things you didn't have before.

Don't forget, if you're a private hiree of the throne room, you get a guaranteed slot of 1+hours every week.

Drumming is great for you. Your body, brain and mind all benefit from drumming. Whether you're learning new things, sharpening your tools or blowing off steam, as long as you're playing and enjoying it, that's all that matters to us. Keep in touch for anything you might need. We are gearing more towards providing more drumming services for Throne Room members and my own students, so keep your eyes peeled for new things. If you read all of this, thank you!

The cost of buying and maintaining a drum kit can be daunting in this day and age of economic crisis. Decent enough new, or even used kits can cost hundreds. Then there's hardware, cymbals, sticks, and new heads for the initial set up which can cost hundreds more. Then there's the debate of ''can I play an acoustic at home, or do I need an E Kit, or do I rent a space to practice in with an acoustic?'' Which, no matter what you choose, is even more, or a different value cost. Then there's replacing breakages, which costs even more each year.

Let us worry about that.

For the same amount it would cost you to buy everything that you need to practice at home and continue replacing your gear, you could have been practicing in the Throne Room for years and saving a bit on the side to eventually get your own stuff. We supply absolutely everything, so you don't need to worry about gear breaking, location, or noise.

Book in a trial and see if it suits you!

If you're a drummer in Sheffield and surrounding areas and you're serious about your craft, you need to go to this. Gregg is a prolific industry drummer and has some great ideologies towards playing and working in the music industry. The best part is that it's basically in our back garden. The worst part is I'll be travelling back from tour on that day and won't make it. We rarely get these types coming here, so take advantage.

We're now expanding some of what we offer to you, the fine drummers of Sheffield. Here's a list of prices and what they get you:

£20/Month - 1 Hour slot per Week.
£30/Month - 1.5 Hour slot per Week.
£40/Month - 2 Hour slot per Week.
£50/Month - 1.5 Hour slot per Week and a 60 minute drum lesson per month.
£60/Month - 2 Hour slot per Week and and a 60 minute drum lesson per month.

We are now including lessons into the pricing plan so you can ask for advice, get help with working out parts, and deal with any bad habits you feel you might be developing, without a weekly commitment to having lessons.

Some questions that we get in our inbox:

"what do we you offer?".

What you would expect to find with a rehearsal drum kit is beaten up gear, broken cymbals and old, worn out hardware.

We ensure that our gear is kept up to standard and replaced before any major damage occurs, which means there's never a chance that you'll end up in a situation with a breakage, and even if you did spares are available to replace it anyway. So you only ever end up playing on high quality gear.

"Why is it worth it?"

Well, a drum kit of any standard costs money, and even if you are fortunate enough to get everything secondhand for extremely cheap, it's usually low quality and extremely beaten up, needing replacements anyway. For the price of buying all new gear, you could get 2-3 years of practice time in our space.

"Do I have to commit?"

Absolutely not. You can stop at any point you want, and can even come in and try us out before deciding to subscribe. The point of the space is to provide a sustainable and affordable place for drummers to hone their skills whilst beating the rising cost of living, so the prices in place are there to cover the costs of the equipment and the room - no matter the time slot you want, it always equates to £5/hour, unless a month has 5 of a particular day, then it would be roughly £4 an hour.

Consistent practice is important for developing any skills. Lots of drumming skills can be developed on a pad, and then applied to the kit. It's important to work on both.
