After a year of not releasing any music, i finally made a bold move to drop this project “Echoes Of You” out of the blues and I am happy to say the results has been amazing.

The feedback from listeners has been encouraging and here we are again getting played on BBC radio in 4 different cities (Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Lincolnshire)

Here is a link to the program: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0hpjtx5

Instead of advocating for playing 100% Ghanaian music on radio stations and local platforms why don’t we channel the energy in streaming 70-80% Ghanaian music?

Playing 100 Ghanaian music is just gonna create mass monsters of locals listening to foreign music. How?? There is a saying that goes like “Too much of everything is bad” and in my personal opinion I think it true and it will reflect in this agenda.

Today Gen Z relies heavily on social media for news and entertainment. Playing 100 Ghanaian music isn’t gonna change the these Gen Zs. They will get bored at some point and will start searching for new songs released by these Nigerians and other foreigners.

I don’t know how to explain this better in words but yeah at the long run, this 100 percent Ghanaian music on our local radio stations won’t really make any huge difference in the online music industry.

It’s high time the “gatekeepers “ starts working with correct music aficionados who are knowledgeable in the streaming field and start advertising to stream 70% Ghanaian music rather than this 100% play thing. Streaming is different from playing.
