A few months ago I reviewed the Antelope Audio Zen Go USB Audio Interface And I still think it is one of the best sub $500 interfaces available.
However, the big downside was you could not use the onboard Synergy Core FX as Plugins with your DAW. You had to use them as Hardware Inserts. Any effects you used were printed onto your recorded tracks.
Antelope do have their AFX2DAW software bridge plugin to use the onboard effects within your DAW as native plugins.
However, at the time it was for thunderbolt devices only running on mac.
So I was excited to discover Antelope have just released AFX2DAW for the Zen Go – the first time they have supported a USB interface. Plus it is finally available for Windows too.
This is all a step in the right direction!
BUT.
1 – AFX2DAW Does not work with M1 Silicon Macs … yet
2 –And it is not free. It costs €199 or equivalent.
As I have a silicon Mac M1 Mini I do hope Antelope are working on it. I’lll keep my fingers crossed!
Meanwhile this is great news. You can find my detailed review on my YouTube Channel, and you can buy the Zen Go here (affiliate link … as an Amazon Associate and Affiliate Marketer I may earn from qualifying links if you click and purchase)
