So.Social Media was formed in December 2016, an awkward brainchild with interesting and varied brainparents.
Following 3 years in higher education at The University of Gloucestershire and a hard fought first class degree our ambassador Samuel Perry took his career forward with the stumbling steps of any new graduate.
His first role took him to Digital Editor at theHRDIRECTOR Magazine in 2014 and then on to a Client Management position at a small marketing firm.
It was here that Sam began to formulate the plans for So.Social Media. He identified important holes in this companies digital marketing system, issues that needed to be overcome and clients who were not getting value for money.
Following a brief and nerve racking stint in target driven radio advertising sales, Sam was sat in a management meeting, being handed his backside on a plate in standard managerial fashion and questioning if this was really all life had to offer.
It was at precisely 9:25am on that particular Monday morning that something in his psyche jumped ship and Sam was given that momentous push to make So.Social Media into a reality.
Quitting radio sales in late November 2016 and sitting around a kitchen table with only 4 clients and a hefty overdraft, So.Social Media seemed like a crime of passion, providing beans on toast and a very sullen looking credit card.
Hard work was needed. And hard work, was precisely what Sam gave.
In the 13 months since it’s initiation, So.Social Media has blossomed into a fast paced, exciting and professional agency representing over 50 clients across the UK and abroad.
With dedication, late nights, early mornings and savvy business decisions, So.Social Media was able to smash it’s 2017 target ten fold, taking on clients ranging from global drinks producers to an emerging rally team and even a world championship boxer.
So.Social Media now produces bespoke websites, provides outreach PR, graphics and video production, meaning that our clients now have access to a complete digital media solutions agency and the best bit is, they still pay the same rate as they did back in 2016.
Our ethos isn’t about bank rolling a Rolls Royce and a corporate Yacht, we want our clients to enjoy value for money. We provide the creativity, brainstorm the ideas, locate the customers and shout about their products and exactly the right way. All our clients have to do, is sit back and enjoy our work.
Here at So.Social Media, our plans are BIG, bigger than big, we hope to have doubled our client portfolio by 2019 and with your help, who knows where the limit is, we’re sure it’s higher than the sky.
