One of the most iconic British sound systems of all time, Saxon has made an indelible impact on popular culture over the past forty years.

Saxon was formed in the south London borough of Lewisham by Co-founders Lloyd ‘Musclehead’ Francis and Dennis Rowe.

“Saxon was like an academy of young talent,” says Tippa Irie. “They gathered talent, because the more talent that you had around your sound, the more chance that you’re gonna win the dance.”

Saturday 9th April most of the team will come together for the Saxon Reunion, live entertainment around the sound system the way you remember it, this may never happen again so don’t miss out.

Colonel along with others within the business decided to take a break in the 90's resulting in Colonel taking up Football coaching with great effect, coaching numerous footballers onto Academy status with some moving on to 1st team football now plying their trade in the English premier league with Clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle just to name a few.

Little John is a dancehall singer from the 1980's who can be credited with blurring the boundaries between singing and singjaying, and thus with creating a new style which became known as "singjay."Little John was so called as he began performing and recording at the age of nine. He first recorded for Captain Sinbad's Youth in Progress label including debut single "51 Storm", and is regarded by some as the first dancehall singer, known for his ability to create lyrics over any backing track.

Born and raised in London UK, G vibes was surrounded by a family of musicians and has been intrenched in reggae music all his life. Following a trip to Jamaica in 1977, the home of reggae would influence the young G Vibes to go on to hone his skills as bass player and guitarist, later starting his own band gigging at London youth clubs and all-dayers. As a lead band member at age 13 years his audience soon discovered G Vibes’ singing abilities, which led to him team up with one of London’ local sound systems of that time, namely, Black Scorpion Sound.

Bunny Lye Lye, born in Kingston, Jamaica; where he grew up in this capital and started to sing at the age of 12 years old, in Spanish Town.
His first song was recorded in Joe Gibbs’s Studio, called “Got To Be Sure”.
Bunny then went on to enter into the Recording Business, where he successfully started with a very
popular song in 1978, called “Miss Popular”.(Joe Gibbs Recording Studio)
Astonishingly the song was re-released in England under the title of “Sympathy” by Lord Koos Sound System via Clint Eastwood, brother of the deejay Trinity.
Bunny then progressively sang alongside reggae veterans like Horace Andy, U Brown and Jah Stitch on Kingston’s Champion Sound at the time called Brave Man.
Through regular exposure and consistency in his performances, Bunny naturally earned his reputation as a “Top Class Artist”

Having started building electronic equipment in the seventies, Neil Fraser evolved into building mixing desks and sound effect units.
He opened his self built recording studios in 1979 attracting a variety of artists and musicians.
Mad Professor won Best Reggae Producer award for seven successive years,he also started to experiment with several mainstream acts.
Having developed the Ariwa studios into a state of the art multi room facility, this iconic label is one of the most successful black owned businesses in the UK, and certainly one of the most diverse music labels in the world! With a catalogue of more than 300 titles, Ariwa still manufacture vinyl, CDs, and is constantly uploading back catalogue and new releases to its digital distribution.
