on a Barclaycard Ad 💒

Gunnersbury Park Museum stepped into its role as wedding venue for this fun Barclaycard ad. You can see the finished result here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_4QcwjnxWk [LM: Ben Carter]

The museum is a stunning example of Regency architecture and has three different reception rooms. This production opted for the 'Drawing Room' and made the most of its beautiful original features and bags of natural light with pops of colour. 🌼 Community Value 🌼

We loved receiving these photos recently from the Friends of Russell Square, showing volunteers spreading mulch and weeding to keep the green space looking fantastic.

The work they do is supported by donations from productions that have filmed in the square over the years, and it's a wonderful reminder of how filming can give back to local communities and public spaces. It's a vital part of the film industry eco-system, especially in inner-city areas where space is a hot commodity and locals accept sacrifices to make room for filming.

We've also included a shot of the 10,000+ daffodils that bloom in the square each year, funded by production donations. As the winter weather rolls in, we'll stare at these daff photos and dream of spring!

Here's a shot from the archives of The Crown S5 filming on Southwark's Brandon Estate, plus a few snaps of the estate itself.

The scenes were of Charles at an event hosted by the Princes Trust and meeting local teenagers, and if you look closely you'll see Dominic West looking positively princely in shot.

on 3 Body Problem 👽

Whilst we're all waiting on tenterhooks for news of upcoming seasons of this mind-bending sci-fi, here's a throwback to a shoot on Hollybush Road in Camden. Have you ever seen anything purer that film equipment with its very own dedicated umbrella?

As you'd expect, a good amount of the series was shot in a studio. Other parts were shot in Spain. But the majority was shot across London, including shoots in Camden, Haringey, Islington, and Kensington & Chelsea that we helped facilitate.

We hope to welcome the crew back again in the near future, ETs and all!

Mood was a BBC miniseries based on the one-woman play 'Superhoe' by Nicôle Lecky, which premiered at the Royal Court.

This is a snap from a shoot in Southwark. We love it because it looks like the crane is hanging the sun in prime position for lighting (which we think most gaffers could manage, given the chance).

Everything Now is coming-of-age story that was released on Netflix last year. This snap caught our eye from a shoot that we facilitated on Islington's Parkland Walk.

We work hard to make sure that drones are used responsibly by film crews across all of the boroughs that we manage, and we're pleased to say that this impressive piece of kit inspired only awe & intrigue from passers by.

Pistol was a 6-part miniseries about the S*x Pistols, directed by Danny Boyle and released on Hulu and Disney+.

Pictured is the crew wetting down the road in Southwark. For anyone who doesn't know, a wetdown is when a production hoses down a road or pavement so that the light reflects off of it, which helps create contrast and visual atmosphere (especially on night shoots). Very rock 'n' roll.

on The Union 🕶

This new action comedy dropped on Netflix last week. It stars Mark Wahlberg & Halle Berry, and follows a construction worker who ends up embroiled in espionage.

They had a big shoot in Camden's Fitzroy Square as pictured above, with the BT Tower making an important cameo in the background.

Outside of Camden, we facilitated some chase scenes in Islington and fast-paced action scenes Kensington & Chelsea and Southwark, with Mark Wahlberg's character Mike chasing his enemies through the streets. No photos of those scenes though - too blurry.

We also provided the production with a Unit Base at Archway Campus, which is a brilliantly versatile, multi-use location that we manage in Islington. Available for short and long term hires!

As always, we want to acknowledge local businesses, residents and passers-by for their cooperation and for contributing to the success of another large-scale shoot in London 👏

A real treat tonight - Miriam Margoyles discovers the true meaning of Christmas in a Channel 4 production, #MiriamsDickensianChristmas. This delightful special was shot in the Historic Kitchens of Gunnersbury Park & Museum - a former Rothschild property for whom FilmFixer manage filming and photography. Miriam, a self-confessed Scrooge, is turning to her love of Charles Dickens and the festive traditions he introduced through 'A Christmas Carol', to see if she can rekindle her love for Christmas. Catch it tonight at 9pm, and after on All4.

The company also delivers Screen Suffolk, the official film office for Suffolk, representing all seven District Councils and Suffolk County Council. This offers a ‘one-stop’ film service, from initial enquiry through to crew sourcing, permitting and much more.

We contribute directly to London’s claim as the world’s third busiest centre for filming. Every major London TV and film production has booked into at least one of our client locations over the past five years.
