Lindy Lambert is the founder of 'BlackLindy Studios', a Musical Historian, Producer, Songwriter and Engineer from NW London and the brother of legendary reggae artist Max Romeo. He then later went on as an independent DJ where he played in clubs and pubs and DJ'd for crowds of over 4,000 people all over the UK. As a young man, Lindy had a passion for live music and tried to pursue this by hanging
around bands in rehearsals and studios. He would tour with artists such as his cousin and founder of Reggae music, the great Lee Scratch Perry, his sister Jennifer Romeo and Misty in Roots, but to name a few. But at these rehearsals and studio sessions he was often thrown out. It was this rejection which made him want to pursue his dreams of becoming an sound engineer and one day owning his own studio. He went on to college to study computer engineering with the goal that he would build his studio himself from scratch, and if anything went wrong in the studio he would be able to fix the problem himself. He graduated from college with an A+ and began building his own equipment for his studio in his one bedroom flat. His brother Max Romeo would visit him and provide him with some of the equipment he needed and they would work on tracks together. As time went by he was introduced to artists such as the Queen of Reggae, Marcia Griffiths Dennis Alcapone, WInston Francis, U brown and Little Roy just to name a few, all who came to work in BlackLindy Studios. He produced his first song in the 90s with his brother Max Romeo who wrote and performed the track called 'The Deacons Wife'. They then joined forces and formed a label in 2006 called 'Charmax Music UK' where he sighed his first artist, Sonia aka Lane Alicia. He worked on projects such as the 'Charmax Allstars' album, 'Reggae Rockin Tonight' and the 'Max Romeo 10 Chapters', as well as a cover of the Beatles hit song 'Fixing a Hole' which was released and very successful in the USA. In 2009, He was introduced to who he calls his adopted son 'Jahkirk' who quickly became his right hand man and studio manager and still works alongside BlackLindy today producing himself as well as artists such as Kitty Corbin, Ashii Meek, Chi Chi Armstrong, Harmonie Dèja and many more. Over the years BlackLindy Studios has become a successful and highly respected and recognised studio worldwide, with a range of artists both successful and up and coming walking through the doors. Currently he is working on series 3 of the Real Talk Productions project along side D-bass aka Diane white and Caroline Williams aka the 'riddim queen'. BlackLindy studios are available for sessions and is equipped with a range of professional recording equipment and instruments
