Critical Sound Presents : Liquid Metal / Venue MOT London London : 1st May

We thought it would be cool to put a special limited capacity show on to support both an underground venue in London and also a charity doing amazing work across the country.

With all show proceeds will be going to the Trussell Trust, an organisation doing vital work offering food bank support and fighting poverty in the UK

Tickets are capped at £10 with early birds starting at £7.50

We will also be launching a very special merch range

Lavance BINARY029 EP is out now 👾

"Thrilled to announce today marks the release of my Binary EP on Critical. It's been over 2 years since I released my last solo EP, and in that time my passion shifted from cinematic soundscapes to the rawer club music side of the genre. This project is a perfect example of that, with 4 stripped back cuts designed for the dancefloor:

1. Hitbox
2. Renegade
3. Side Eye
4. Hollow

These tracks mark a new direction for me and my music, and I'm so stoked to release them on a label I've aspired to release on since I first started exploring the deeper side of drum and bass. Very grateful to Kasra and the Critical team for giving me the opportunity to do so.

Also very curious to hear what everyone's favorite track of the EP is!

NEW SONICS

After debuting on the main stage at Boomtown, ‘Shunt’ is stripped-back, minimal D&B at its very best; showcasing Particle’s knack for carving enormous tracks from the simplest of basslines and the most spacious of drum grooves.

‘W4M’ - in collaboration with Austrian producer Wingz - refreshes with something totally different; layering soulful detuned chords and re-pitched vocals over deliciously clean drums and subs for a blissful roller to help soothe those early winter blues.

"Drum and Bass compilations hold a special place in my heart, those early years spending time with the Logical Progression series, Platinum Breakz, Renegade Hardware & V Recordings box sets, and Reinforced Enforcers albums made me fall In love with this music.

To keep up this format I am proud to present the second edition of our New Energy series which is out now on all platforms. 21 tracks of cutting-edge underground sonics. I wanted this album to represent what excites me about drum and bass in 2024 and beyond. Showcasing label artists, long-time collaborators, and new friends who bring their own take on 170 bpm bass.
