Hi there
Pakefield is an enchanting coastal village in Suffolk, UK near Lowestoft.
In it you will find All Saints' and St. Margaret's Church which is steeped in history. In the church you will find a large mysterious painting which it is believed was made in 1681, although its actual date may long precede this.
What makes it even more interesting is that, according to various historians, some of the colouring (or tincture in heraldic terms) in the Pakefield Arms was actually inaccurate for the day. This fact makes this amazing piece of history even more attractive and unique. It survived many reformations and the fires of WW2, and now it is finally time for its restoration.
Because of its age and heritage, this must be conducted by top experts which is, of course, painstaking and expensive, and hence the entry below at GoFundMe.
If you would like to be a part of this exciting piece of history, please do give what you safely can.
Also, if you would like to see the painting yourself it is proudly displayed in the church, or feel free to contact Rev. Sharon Lord or Trudie Jackson directly at:
Pakefield Rectory, Pakefield St, Causeway, Lowestoft NR33 0JZ UK
Church website Or, just let me know and I will put you in touch!
Thank you for your kind attention, and God Bless.
