Archiving, exhibiting and publishing club culture history since 2008, a self-funded project addressing the cultural sanitization that is now ubiquitous in club culture OH archives is an extensive collection of work form over 1000 collaborators worldwide that includes graphic designers, film makers, academics, authors, musicians and DJ’s.For the last ten years OH archives have been chronicling an

incredible journey of design creativity which has shaped modern popular culture. OH archives provides an opportunity to celebrate and catalogue our cultural heritage which began in the US in the early 1980’s, customised by British attitude into what is known Acid House and which has since become a worldwide phenomenon. OH archives has picked the club flyers, personal photographs and collective memories off the historical dance floor and put them onto international art galleries walls alongside specially commissioned installations to great acclaim. The British art spirit exhibition "ourhistory" returns after 12 years!
The British dance music culture boasts a history and quality that is among the best in the world. We will be holding an exhibition of 14 works of art and design created by numerous graphic artists over the past 30 years, including event flyers and album jackets.

Featuring carefully selected content from the past 15 years of exhibitions, the Red Gallery’s Ourhistory Archives boast exclusive and rarely seen photography of some of Europe's most exciting club cultural movements - from the inception of Tresor and Berlin techno in the 90s, to Parisian ‘French Touch’ and Spain's La Movida Madrileña. For the first time ever these works will be displayed and curated as one whole inter-connected history.

Individually the photographs from each of these movements tell an amazing story of their own, but when these archives are put together these images begin to narrate a whole new collective history. Without negating the role of the DJ, these photographs show the importance of the every-day people that participated in these events at bunkers, factories, rooftops, afterhours and beyond. As a viewer you immediately understand the energy that these photographs capture.

The exhibitions act as a platform to bring together artists, photographers, promoters, adventure-seekers, dreamers and revolutionaries in a collective celebration of music, art and culture.

Tickets to the exhibition can be bought on our Kickstarter page, where essential funds raised will go towards the production of the 6 forthcoming exhibitions. All tickets include one limited edition printed CLUB CULTURES catalogue of your choice. Other special edition items are also available.
