Although Elska is most commonly known for featuring gay men, the truth is that we welcome anyone on our pages. Certainly if we were to count everyone, the majority would be gay men, but there have been bi men, straight men, trans men, non-binary folk, and basically any human who wants to be part of our project. So when we went to shoot a lad in Istanbul and his friend Lola asked to do a shoot as well, of course we weren't going to say no. Indeed for me she's one of the biggest highlights of our nine-year history so far...

This balcony looked out on a super-crowded courtyard full of apartments on all sides, and up five or six storeys into the sky. So it was really brave to be out there with so few clothes, and braver still in the scene that follows this where there's even less clothes...
