This week we launched Equal View, the brand new campaign from which is tackling visual misrepresentation of women’s football. In partnership with Getty Images, Equal View provides a representative view of women’s football by creating a globally diverse bank of images that show a more accurate depiction of what the game really looks like today. Captured throughout this summer’s international tournament, the images capture the true diversity of the football ecosystem - Sports Direct is aiming to shift perceptions after 44% of fans agreed that women’s sports should be represented more in the media (according to GWI data). Last week, we launched the new Gel Kayano 30 shoe in the UK, by creating the pop-up ASICS Comfort Lab in Hyde Park 👟🏃

Over the course of 2 days, we helped 70+ media, influencers, retailers and consumers to understand the innovation behind the latest shoe launch, through an immersive experience exploring the ASICS design philosophy. Guests enjoyed a detailed run analysis with a brand trainer to get their personal comfort recommendation, before they put the new ASICS shoes to the test on trial runs, alongside bonus added-value workshops for consumers.

From listening to our attendees' comfort complaints to giving their bespoke comfort advice, we really proved that stability never felt better than running in ASICS 💥

As part of ’s Sports Slam initiative, Olympian Jess Piasecki, rugby star James Haskell and boxing champions Johnny Fisher and Natasha Jonas joined UK schoolchildren to kick off National School Sports Week 2023. Sports Slam is encouraging children aged 7 to 11 to have fun and participate in at least 60 minutes of activity and sport a day, by providing fun-fuelled activities and challenges. Sports Direct is backing the campaign with the provision of free sports equipment as well as downloadable teacher tools for primary schools across the UK and Ireland 🙌🏼

This week sees the launch of Sports Slam, Sports Direct’s new children’s initiative, which encourages kids to have fun and participate in at least 60 minutes of activity or sport a day.

We were joined today by athletes James Haskell and professional swimmer Michael Gunning to help run the sessions for local primary schools.
The launch is part of wider campaign National School Sports Week which is run by national children’s charity the Youth Sport Trust

Alex M:
I use running to better myself physically and mentally but also as a form of escapism where I can switch off and enjoy what is around me 😁

Becky S:
I love running for the reason that it can give you headspace, can be social, competitive, just for fun or something to challenge yourself 💪

Now, let's talk about our most beloved running spots! 🌟

Guy:
Favourite run I've done was from Bondi beach to Bronte beach in Sydney. Crazy scenery involving dolphins🐬

Jade:
My fave place to run is Paris! Got to know the city on foot, with the Seine river to guide me🇫🇷

This weekend, we had an incredible time alongside our client at the highly anticipated Gallagher Premiership Final between Saracens & Sale. 🏉🏆
 
Our dedicated team was on hand to provide an unforgettable experience for the eight winners of our season-long campaign, the . The Leaders Scrum identified exceptional leaders who have consistently demonstrated their ability to make the right decisions in safeguarding and expanding their businesses. They were treated to exclusive networking opportunities with like-minded leaders and expert coaching from some of the UK's top decision-makers. They also enjoyed priceless experiences, including a private box at the Gallagher Premiership Final.
 
But our involvement didn't stop there! We were also present at the fan park, ensuring that every supporter, whether inside the stadium or outside, got the most out of their experience at The Final.
