Earlier in the year we decided to expand our services to include photography and now provide corporate, commercial, event and headshots. This adds to our existing services that include filming, live stream broadcast and podcast production. Also we have our multi use studio available to hire for filming, live streaming, podcast production and photography.

One of our newest clients is StoneX Financial, sponsors of the Saracens, who feature in this months e-Forex magazine. We took the pictures that have been used on the cover page and in the main article on pages 40-44.

Sometimes you just need to shout from the rooftops and today is one of those days. Last week we brought to life a very large 4hr hybrid conference that we'd been working on for months with our amazing client. Hundreds of guests attended in person and thousands more joined online from 30+ countries. This included both in-person and virtual speakers & panelists of which one, a former country Prime Minister and the keynote speaker who sadly came down with COVID just days before the conference. However, she still attended to give her keynote speech and then took part in Q&A session fully interacting as if present on the stage, virtually.

There was seamless 2-way dialogue and conversation between the in-person and virtual speakers and panelists with no delay. This also extended to the in-person guests who had their turn to ask questions during the final segment of the event. Questions from the virtual guests were relayed to the host and read out. All seamless!

As the production company, we designed and built the set which included a 12m x 3m backdrop with 2 x built-in 85" screens on which the virtual guests were brought into the room, 2 x side screens for sponsor branding, 2 x comfort screens for the speakers / panel and a further 2 x screens in the reception area and green room.

There was a total of 4 x cameras (2 x manned Canon FX605 and 2 Canon N500 PTZ's), Newtek's TriCaster, 8 x production monitors, 12 computers, 13 x microphones, 8 x speakers, 16 x lights, 9 x 2-way radios, 9 x headset comms and much more. Not to mention the hundreds of meters of cable connecting everything together.

Our production team of 11 made us so proud and are the consummate professionals everyone wants to have on their team. Thank you Duke Corporate Education for entrusting us to produce your conference and now we're back to pre-production mode for our next big event just weeks away.

On the 16th January 2023 we're opening the doors to our new podcast & filming studio based 30 seconds away from Mill Hill Thameslink station.

Whether you're a seasoned podcaster or want to launch a brand new show we want to work with you. We can film, audio record, edit and live stream all from our studio. The best thing is you just need to turn up and we'll do the rest.

We're also able to help you monetise your content though our Pay Per View platform. It can be a one off, a season or ongoing subscription and you control where the content is placed from your website, social media channels, members only portal or a simple email based subscription. The important thing is that you will always be in control of your destiny.

Our studio will cost just £50 p/hour (ex vat) for the first 50 studio hours booked and thereafter it will be our standard price of £75 p/hr.

We love this story! It speaks volumes and relevant to nearly everyone.

A giant ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they took it to a Mechanical Engineer with over 40 years of experience.

He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded the bag and pulled out a small hammer.

He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!

7 days later the engineer mentioned that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $ 10,000 to the ship owner

"What ?!" said the owner.
"You did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."

The answer is simple:
Tap with a hammer: $ 2
Know where to knock & how much to knock: $ 9,998

Lessons to Learn

The importance of appreciating one's expertise and experience ... Until
The words "it's easy" and "that's all", should be set aside. Why? Because maybe the experience is the result of struggles, experiments and even tears.

Like the picture above:
If i do a job in 30 minutes it's because i spent 10 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes.

(If I can finish a job in 30 minutes, it's because I spent 10 years learning how to do it in 30 minutes. You paid me for those 10 years, not 30 minutes).

This sentence reminds me of someone’s advice on respecting and wisely respecting the work of others.

There I also learned to see people ...
When they do not respect others, at the same time he has humbled himself.

Expertise and experience, that's expensive.
Unfortunately, our people still look down on that.

Every year The London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE hosts its Value In Practice awards ceremony that is organised by the HR department recognising the achievements and hard work of its 3,300+ staff. For the past couple of years it was virtual over Zoom, and whilst there was a very strong desire for it to be a hybrid event this year, a decision was made to keep to virtual as it was deemed too risky with the ongoing pandemic. However, there was a need to make it more of a production.

JLP Productions was appointed the production company that was to produce the event in close collaboration with Amy Mamawag (LSE HR Dept) and realise her vision to bring the event to life. Over a period of 4 weeks, numerous interviews and messages were filmed across the campus that were to be used as part of the event. This included Baroness Minouche Shafik (Director LSE), Andrew Young (COO), Joanne Hay (Deputy COO) and numerous winners and runners up from last year.

On Thursday, 31st March 2022 the VIP Awards took place broadcasted live from a studio we built on campus where the live presenters together with event host presented from. The broadcast went out via a private event website that was only made available to the LSE staff. This years winners were brought into the broadcast remotely and interviewed live by the presenters. As a view, the event itself was like the awards ceremonies watched on TV and a huge success for the school as well as JLP Productions.

Whilst the pandemic might be coming to an end, the same is not true of virtual and hybrid events since they offer so many benefits to brands and business across every discipline no matter what sector they are in. They are fully inclusive; enable full and engaging participation no matter where people are located around the world; offer significant cost savings over a wholly in-person events; allow businesses to positively contribute to their Carbon Net Zero commitments; events able to nearly any type of event and event within an event to take place; plus many other reasons.

To conclude with our client's message the following day:

'Minouche, Andrew, Joanne and I have received so much positive feedback from yesterday, so it is all much love and appreciation for the work that you all have done....Wholeheartedly, I have really enjoyed working with you all in the last couple of months and I have learnt so much. I do hope that I wasn’t a pain during the process?! Also, I will miss collaborating with you all on a daily basis, because come this Monday I will be back to being normal and boring!'
