We’re very excited to announce ‘i shall sing these songs beautifully’, a new book by visionary filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos.
Bringing his ambitious storytelling to book form, ‘i shall sing these songs beautifully’, comprises of a series of previously unseen photographs made in the context of his latest feature, ‘Kinds of Kindness’ (2024), interspersed with new short form texts. Inhabiting an ambiguous space between the real locations of New Orleans and the otherworld of cinema, the vignettes invoke an unnerving suburbia and the eeriness of noir fiction, rich with the tensions and unsettling atmospheres that Lanthimos has made his own.

Announcing Gregory Halpern’s new book, ‘King, Queen, Knave’! 🔥
In ‘King, Queen, Knave’, Gregory Halpern turns his inimitable eye on his hometown of Buffalo, New York, constructing a mesmerising visual narrative that encompasses fantasy, harsh realities, and the middle-world of dreams.
In place of familiar narratives of decline associated with the region, Halpern evokes themes of reversal, ascension, and possibility, unfurling a sequence as a stage across which distinct and unpredictable characters appear in and amongst images of solitary buildings, snowdrifts, and sun-bleached scenes of everyday transcendence.

🔊 Announcing 'Fashion Army', edited by Matthieu Nicol! 🔊
'Fashion Army' mines a declassified US Army archive to create a kaleidoscopic catalogue of military apparel, ranging from the mundane to the sinister, the surreal to the stylish.
Through this ambiguous and compelling sequence, 'Fashion Army' offers a nuanced account of style, innovation, and the far-reaching influence of military apparel on fashion and identity, ultimately interrogating the signifiers of violence embedded in such attire.
Accompanied by an essay and notes by fashion critic Angelo Flaccavento.
