It was earlier reported that Bloomsbury India had backed out of publishing the book despite an agreement after a concerted campaign by leftists. Authors like William Dalrymple are said to have been involved in pressurising Bloomsbury India to back-off.
The author Monika Arora later also took to twitter to inform that Bloomsbury India refused to communicate with her over its ban despite requests, as a result of which she had decided to go ahead with publishing the book with Garuda Prakashan
