Today I attended the third of three funerals, in as many weeks, for people I have worked closely alongside and was proud to be associated with.
Pete Robinson was a wonderful fretless bass player, skilful and innovative and also blessed with a quick wit and a wicked sense of humour.
He always knew what to play and he did it with grace and style. His input on the Castanarc albums in particular will be very much missed.

Spent a splendid day with the chaps from IR mastering their wonderful new album. Hearing some of these songs took me right back to the madness that we shared both in the studio and on the road back in the 80s. Great memories, we laughed a lot back then and we're still laughing! 😄😄😄

I'm posting this to mark the passing of a good friend and studio colleague Pete Robinson. An invaluable member of the recording band Castanarc and a creative and conscientious bass player who always delivered much more than I ever asked of him in the studio. And with a wicked sense of humour into the bargain! Rest in peace Pete and thank you for everything you did. ❤️
