Our Story

Located on the site of a former rocking horse factory (hence the name) in Durham City centre, we offer quality, affordable rehearsal rooms and recording facilities for bands and musicians. We opened our doors in February 2011 with just 2 small rooms, over time we’ve grown to 5 sound-proofed rooms including the impressive room 3, which is big enough for bands of any size. Our rooms are all patched to our recording studio, enabling us to offer a variety of recording options, including rehearsal recording, voice recording, drum recording and isolated full band recording. There’s plenty of free parking in our secure private car park with ground floor access too all of our rooms, we can provide any equipment or cables if you forget to bring anything, even a guitar.
