Taysound Studio is a new recording outlet for the Tayside & Fife region. The company is set up by 2 qualified sound engineers; a studio based engineer with a Bachelors degree in Sound Engineering, and an HND qualified live/mastering engineer who works for PJ Malloys; one of Dunfermline's biggest venues for live music. We have a portable recording set up which comprises of a good array of high end
dynamic & condenser microphones (Shure SM57's, Sennheiser MD421, Rode NT-5, pair of SE1A's, AT2050) through a 16 channel Mackie blackbird mic pre. We mix through KRK Rokit 5's and process using Pro Tools 10 HD and some of the best plug-ins that money can buy. We can offer any type of audio recording whether it be commercial or orchestral. Any type of recording you are after, we can offer. The bonus with using us is that we come to you with our recording equipment. You choose the space, we record in that space. (HOWEVER PLEASE ENSURE THERE ARE ELECTRICAL SOCKETS AVAILABLE TO POWER EQUIPMENT). We use headphone amps so everyone can listen in direct without leaving the recording space. We also put in a lot of hours with mixing & mastering to ensure that clients are receiving the best product. This means that clients have a choice of a free 5 minute quick mix or pay a fixed mix charge per song for a professional mix & master which usually takes 2 days max. We charge a standard rate of £15 p/h and charge an additional £10 mix & master charge per song. RATES START WHEN EQUIPMENT IS SET UP, YOU PAY FOR RECORDING TIME.
