I can finally get round to sharing my website which I created for my dissertation project. Here is the video breakdown from the official website site which I created. for this I used Wix.
So now. A bit about SUSTERIAL. What is it?
I named my project SUSTERIAL
Break it down.
SUStainable maTERIALs
The website SUSTERIAL is a platform for any sort of artist / designer who may seek products for their said projects or purpose. Instead of using big brands who care less about the environment. I came up with the idea that everything can be in one place. The whole idea was to offer people the alternative materials which are better for the environment. For example normal pencils? How about plastic pencils.
The main purpose of the website was to offer the alternative sustainable option of popular materials which can lower people s carbon footprints & make the planet a better place. This also includes supporting local businesses and lowering carbon emissions from shipping products to you.
The part one is some screenshots of the platforms main pages.
It would be great to keep this project alive and possible take forward in the future with developers. I think it’s effective and there’s nothing else like it!! 💚

Brief Three - “2052 with No Internet” - Prototyping Digital Features
Deadline - Friday 29th April - 9am
✅There’s gonna be Three posts on this project as there’s loads of files✅
For this project, the brief was that in 2050 the internet went out due to a chosen natural disaster (you decide) and after two years, 2052, there is still no internet no matter how many tries it’s taken to try fix it. Once receiving this. We had to make our own brief which catered to this and create a device according to our chosen brief. My chosen brief was…
“Due to a large increase of air pollution which is making people sick, more people are choosing to stay at home and isolate. You need to create a device, which can help people in social isolation connect with friends and family and improve on their mental well-being!"
Not only did I have to create a device, I had to create a 10 min presentation, a 2 minute demonstration video and a sketchbook which I needed up making 43 A3 pages!!
So with that I created. UFO GOT MAIL. A messenger device which can transport your written letters to contacts with just typing in where they stay. My device would use gps and a drone type engine to run and fly around to deliver you’re mail.
The reasoning for choosing this is because I thought it was important to create a device which connected people, as if the internet was down how are people supposed to communicate with each other which can cause isolation and many mental health issues, I wanted to delete it to covid in a sense as even with internet during peak covid. It was still very lonely.
I had a lot of fun making this project and I’m really proud with how this turned out. My presentation which went with it went really well and I’m finally finished 2nd year of Uni. Bring on 3rd year in September 👽🛸
