While there may be a clear south / midland divide on the above, yesterday we took the opportunity to bring the team together for a team building afternoon.

After an exceptionally busy start to the year, it's important to make time to check in with one another, discuss innovative ideas and projects. Afterall, great ideas don't all start in a meeting room!

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, it's crucial to continue prioritising mental well-being in the months ahead.

So, we asked our very own mental health first aider Alicia to provide 1 helpful but impactful change to implement within the workplace. Here's her advice:

"In our daily lives, the language we use plays a crucial role in shaping our mental well-being.

Let's swap 'stressful' with 'challenging', 'failure' with 'learning opportunity', and 'should' to 'choose to'.

By changing our language we can also promote a more positive mindset and encourage problem-solving.

Language matters and this simple shift can make a big difference in how we approach our work and support each other's mental well-being." 💡💚

Take a peek at a recently completed Flythrough that our OG Unreal Guy, Jon created.
We asked Jon to provide us with a little insight into the project and he said:

"Turning these 3D environments into animations allows me to be almost a film director with pretty much-unlimited freedom because there are no real constraints working digitally.

Unreal Engine is very enjoyable to work in as the workflow is very smooth and it allows for a lot of speed and flexibility when creating the scenes, setting up shots, post-processing and rendering.

It's a good challenge to create something which should be realistic and appeal to the client's requirements but also allows elements of artistic expression."
