It is run by producer Sonia James and filmmaking brothers AJ and Paul Jay. Our first short film, SWEET REVENGE, won director Paul Jay the Young Filmmaker Award at Swansea Bay Film Festival 2006. That same year, director AJ won Best Film (Under 20 Minutes) for his short comedy TOMORROW NEVER DAIS. TOMORROW NEVER DAIS has won two other film festival awards and has made the Official Selection of such
festivals as Miami Short Film Festival and Kevin Spacey’s Triggerstreet. and IndieFlix, the film was broadcast in September 2009. We followed this success with a series of short films: the murder mystery spoof TO THE MANOR… MURDERED! AJ), which we took to Cannes Film Festival and which was selected for such festivals as Calgary Fringe Film Festival and the Audience Choice Film Festival; HIDDEN ANIMALS (dir. Ryan Hooper), a drama which was nominated for the ‘Under the Influence’ Award at the London Short Film Festival; MUMMY’S GIRL (dir. Keri Collins), a drama described by Kenneth Branagh as “a powerful little film”; ANY LEGACY (dir. Paul Jay), which was selected for both Falstaff and Swansea Film Festival; and the recently completed comedy horror THE NEXT BLAIR WITCH (dir. The latest comedy shorts from Panik Attak, THE END HAS NO END and A VERY IMPORTANT CALL, both directed by AJ, are currently in post-production. We have made music videos for Welsh bands Preacher, Anoni, Stictched Up, Random Words and Caesura. These have ranged from performance vids to tongue-in-cheek action and archive edits. We have also produced virals, winning Movie Mogul Fund’s advert competition and making the final short-list for the TUC’s 60 Second Ad Contest, and we have produced live music events.
