Based at Great Point Seren Stiwdios (formerly Pinewood Studio Wales) in Cardiff, the team has more than 100 years combined experience in bilingual media training and production. The Sgil Cymru team have trained over 100 apprentices by working with companies across south Wales including BBC Cymru Wales, Equinox Communications, Golley Slater, ITV Cymru Wales, Real SFX, Amplified Business Content and S4C. Through partnership with ScreenSkills, Sgil Cymru is delivering a package of training courses for the UK film & TV industry.

📣Sgil Cymru is looking for a specialist Mentor to work on a new and exciting project!
The successfull candidate will be working mainly under Sgil Cymru and across all partners, giving advice and help to individuals, groups and companies that want information on how to come into the screen industries, and how to move forward or across within those industries.
They will work with the Project Manager to report back to the Managing Director of Sgil Cymru, the Management Board of Siop Un Stop- One Stop Shop and the BFI.
There will be a need, at times, to travel the length and breadth of Wales to meetings, workshops, and courses. There will be the possibility of working flexibly, from home, or in our training centre at Great Point Seren Studios in Cardiff.

Once again, Sgil Cymru have commissioned this year’s apprentices to create a visual and engaging piece expressing their impressions of what it is to be a media apprentice. Here is Saavan Palee who is a Sgil Cymru/ITV Cymru Wales Apprentice in Creative and Digital Media. He has finished with us at Sgil Cymru but continues on the apprenticeship with ITV and he is looking forward to a creative career within the media industry in the future!

Byddant yn gweithio ar y cynhyrchiad tan Awst 23ain – Mali yn yr Adran Gelf a Rob yn yr Adran Lleoliadau! **************** 📣APPRENTICE NEWS!📣 Mali Whitty & Rob Cairns, our CRIW apprentices in south Wales, have been working on ‘Death Valley’ for BBC Studios Comedy since June 3rd. They will be on the production until August 23rd – Mali in the Art Department and Rob in the Locations Department!
