There have been massive developments in the world of wedding videography recently. We've totally embraced these changes and with our DSLR cameras we can produce for our clients wedding videos which look every bit as stunning as their wedding photographs. The large sensors make for beautiful shallow depth of field video, with clarity akin to film. Filming - Discreet and Unobtrusive

DSLR video cameras are far smaller than traditional shoulder mounted video cameras. We can film you and your wedding guests without drawing attention. As a company we use multiple video cameras so we can capture a wide range of angles during the ceremony and speeches - the majority of our video equipment will be carefully positioned out of sight. As I drove up the M4 motorway towards London, I thought to myself: “I am going to be filming the wedding of a son whose father is a member of the House of Lords within Parliament today!”
This is the kind of opportunity which only a small majority of wedding photographers & videographers will ever get to be involved in.
With that being the case it was an honour to be chosen by Alexander, I had no hesitation; but only to say yes to film his and Caroline’s special day.

If somebody told me back in 2017 that I would be filming this level of wedding I would have probably just laughed it off.

I said towards the end of 2022 that 2023 would be a great year, not just in wedding videography; but in everything I do!

ALS Videography Highlights Film 2022 + Walk Down Memory Lane:///

The other day I sat down and thought to myself that it has been almost 9 years since I started the ALS Videography journey! The process of manifesting my reality began a few years earlier during the year of 2008 as I mulled over a few business ideas. I remember talking to a few colleagues in the office about potentially filming weddings as I had a passion for making films.

Things kicked off in 2014, a friend of mine whose name is Simon Harford was getting married and I had told him about my potential plans. Thanks to Simon I was offered, and gratefully accepted the opportunity to film his special day. So I got a few friends to help me, one of them was in the 2nd year of a film degree, and the other friend was a work colleague who had no experience like myself. Thankfully the wedding video went well and from that point onwards I went on a knowledge quest on one specified field. The goal was to make myself the best wedding videographer I could possibly be! Whilst working the 9-5 job I did a little advertising and I had got to a level where I had built a strong portfolio of wedding videos. So in 2017 I took the leap of faith to officially become an entrepreneur.

I am so thankful to all of my clients throughout the years, to look back at where I was all of those many years ago to where I am now is just incredible! Some of the major accomplishments include: filming the wedding of the 2nd most capped Welsh professional rugby player in Gethin Jenkins in 2017. Filming an Italian wedding at Newbury racecourse with a whopping 350 guests in 2019, and this year the wedding of Miranda and Edward at Wells Cathedral.

With the added confidence gained from numerous testimonials and industry recognition I have now ventured into other forms of videography, in addition to other business interests which I will look to expand on in 2023.

Everything started with a vision, also I had an unwavering belief in myself that I could become better than average; but most importantly I worked incredibly hard to make my vision become a reality. No matter who doubted me whether it was family or friends in no way did I let anybody hinder my progress. I would tell anyone that if they have a business idea or a passion that could potentially change their lives don’t be afraid to it follow through. I wish everybody a happy and prosperous 2023!

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to film the stunning wedding of Philippa and Robert yesterday, part of a 2 day double header. In no uncertain terms this is a day that will not be forgotten anytime soon! It was simply brilliant from start to finish! It was a great day of filming in Cardiff for last weeks wedding. As the couple had chosen the aerial drone footage for their wedding film I thought to myself why not capture their chosen cathedral from the air. SO GLAD I DID!

This video illustrates how important colour grading is in post-production is, as it really adds depth to the image.

The past 6 weeks or so have been brilliant in terms of industry recognition. This was the first award of 2 which recognises ALS Videography as one of the top 3 videographers in Bristol.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would get into the top 10 so to have achieved this accolade is fantastic! Gratitude goes out to all of my wonderful clients who have invested in ALS Videography throughout the years, without each and every one of you I would not be where I am now. So thank-you! Thank you! Thank-you!

A few weeks later (last week to be accurate) I received another award highlighting excellent customer service and professionalism which I provide to my clients. ALS Videography loves it’s clients which is the way it should be. All I think about is how I can push myself to the upper echelon, and in order to do so I have to work harder than everybody else!

What a brilliant start to 2022 and this is just the beginning! Thanks again to all of the couples who have invested in ALS Videography, and all of the couples who have left amazing testimonials throughout the years! To think that ALS Videography is now multi-award winning is just incredible!

It’s always great to finish the wedding season in brilliant fashion and this curtain call to the 2021 season did not buck the trend. This day was Laura & Michael’s set in the leafy West Sussex countryside. These are just a few of the beautiful shots from the day. What a season 2021 has been! Lots of gratitude goes out to all of the amazing couples who have chosen ALS Videography to film one of the most special days of their lives together.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Worsman! It was great to be back out last Friday for what was a spectacular return to action! The new couple were blessed with fantastic weather and a great group of family and friends to celebrate with. I can't wait to deliver their wedding film package next week so that they can relive the day over and over again!
