A belated Happy New Year 😬 Is been very busy at Punchline over the holiday period and into the New Year. Loads of exciting projects in the pipeline and lots to look forward too. We did manage to find a good spot for some NYE fireworks though.

to past travels: Sharing the beautiful city lights of Beijing, China, where I flew out to in 2018 on a commission for Physics World.

I spent some time photographing during my downtime, where we were filming with Bright Recruits and the IHEP - Institute of High-Energy Particle Physics! It was a brilliant commission for our first filming assignment abroad.

Plus, a favourite of mine - I photographed the London cityscape from above St Pauls Cathedral. Views for days!

Punchline on location 📹

Earlier this year we were in Bristol on a brilliant commission for Netham Bamboo with Kate Strong who attempted to break three world records – furthest distance covered on a static bike in 1, 12 and 24 hours!

She broke ALL THREE records on Netham's bamboo bike.

Big thanks to Jay Cox for helping us out on this commission.

We've had the pleasure of working with Cignpost Diagnostics for the past year as they roll out their COVID-19 testing facilities across the country to a range of businesses and organisations.

It's been fascinating to see first-hand the work, care and science that has gone into making Cignpost one of the national leaders in this field.

Last month, Cignpost teamed up with cycling brand Canyon DHB Sungod to be their national testing provider. To celebrate and launch their partnership, Cignpost produced a social campaign to encourage others to do the same.

Back in February we worked with one of our regulars, Holy Spokes, a community-based bike workshop in Bristol. We produced video and stills content for their website, showing off behind the scenes of what they do.

We've worked with Holy Spokes since our early days and it's been a real pleasure to see them expand and grow, helping more and more people as they do!

The famous Addison's Walk in Oxford inspired the likes of C.S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien and countless others. We recently worked with Magdalen College Oxford to produce video to give visitors the chance to explore Addison's again, since it had been closed for over a year due to COVID-19.

We worked with the college to create a special tour of the walk presented by President of Magdalen Dinah Rose and Garden Master Tim Barraclough.

It was a challenge for us to film a 30 minute video in under 3 hours due to time constraints, but we are hugely pleased with how it came out!

We recently worked on a great commission with regular client Skookum, filming and photographing behind-the-scenes with Fjällräven and Simon Reeve who joined Martin Dorey in Bude for the 2 Minute Beach Clean.

The 2 Minute Beach Clean is a campaign by the 2 Minute Foundation, a charity devoted to cleaning up our planet 2 minutes at a time - they believe that simple, achievable acts can add up to make a great difference.
