Mia - Operations manager
My favourite thing about Burst is how diverse our sound is. I hope to continue this into the next academic year and make the station more inclusive, social, and cohesive. I’m responsible for the day-to-day running of Burst, as well as sorting out additional funding for the station. I’m so excited to work with our new team to continue the works of our previous committee!
Henry - Social Secretary
I am very new to Burst having only conducted three radio shows before COVID-19 started to bite. My aims as Social Secretary can be summarised under the slogan ‘big beats are the best, have fun all the time’. My favourite artist of all time is probably the Stones however, my passion for music spreads across many genres and several decades.
Jo - Welfare Officer
Heya I'm Jo, I'm the wellbeing officer for Burst. My aim is to ensure that Burst society is as inclusive and mindful as, it can be! I really want the society to be a space where people to feel comfortable to engage in activities and with other society members. University can be a pressing time but also an enjoyable experience, so with that in mind I am here for you. Don't hesitate to get in touch, if you have any ideas, or want to chat! I love the radio; I grew up listening to it with my grandma! Music is a huge passion of mine and that's reflected in my show. I always say, I'm on a musical journey. I love to find and share a track or an artist which may not have been heard before! I thoroughly love to discover more about people, their passion or their stories.
Sully - Apprentice Head of Music
Nothing else breaks down boundaries and brings people together like music! When I’m not listening to Hall and Oates, Funkadelic or R.E.M I’ll be at Burst curating playlists, writing reviews and sending positivity your way! Ultimately, I aim to continue the success that Burst has had in playing an eclectic mix of music that reflects the vibrancy and diverse tastes of Bristol. Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any ideas, queries or music that you would like to be played!
Alex - Live Music Coordinator
I am responsible for all live aspects of Burst's music-related output. I can't wait to get started and hope to introduce collaborations with other student societies and extend the station's reach across Bristol.
