Work from home perk no.1
When it's a beautiful day outside, grab the laptop and head out there!
...oh...
Don't you know darrrlings🤩, it's all glam meetings in beautiful locations when working for yourself. Here's me waiting for one of those glamourous meetings to start...
🤫
It sure as hell ain't pretty, or elegant, but it's better than nothing. And let me tell you, if I don't do yoga or a morning run before work, then I really am going to be doing nothing that day. Working from home means I barely move once I'm sat in my chair. So, yeah, my yoga might not look good, but I know it's doing me good. How do you keep yourself moving when working form home?
Who has time to relax these days?! I buy all the stuff to help me switch off, but when am I supposed to find the time to actually do the switching off? I don't bloody know. Anyone figured this conundrum out yet? Asking for lil old stressed me! 😅 Me? Yeah, I'm fine. Why? Do I seem not fine? I'm fine. Right? Yeah. I'm fine, aren't I? 😅
I wish I could say this was just for comedic effect, but I do genuinely have to wear many many layers while working. It's SOOOO COLD in our office! I usually start off with fewer layers but always put on more and more as the day goes on 🥶 Bring on summer! True story, a neighbour saw me with less layers on recently and said, 'Oh, you've lost weight!' Nope. It was just a slightly warmer day so I had a couple of less chunky layers on 😂
Apologies for the very quiet talking in this btw - I honestly don't know what happened, but at least here's subtitles! I'll do better next time 🤞
I love the music on this one, it's so inspirational and cute at the same time! I reckon I could get into a good work flow just having this on repeat.
Back to the matter at hand, focus Lisa. If you have a small business or are just starting up (how exciting!), and want to get your social media schedule into some sort of order, then I can help.
All you do is pick a tier package - 1, 2, 3, or 4, answer my fact-finding form, then with the informtion you provide, I create some social templates. Then - working on a monthly basis, I create a four-week schedule of posts for your business. You always have the final say, nothing goes live without your approval, and we all live happily ever after 😄

The question that no one asks, but I'm going to tell you the answer anyway.
If you didn't/don't know what the f🤭ck you wanted/want to do when you left/leave school, don't worry too much. I didn't have a f🤭cking clue when I left school. I went from the random bizarre choice to do a beauty course in college (I had never shown any interest in this before) to shop job to shop job, on to office job to office job - all with no direction or rather being drawn in a direction I had no love in moving forward with.
It took trying new things and doing courses in the evenings to find a joy in creativity with web design, writing, art and beyond which with perserverance and grit, I could eventually prove to a prospective boss that I had what it took to do marketing. They trusted in me, gave me a shot and the rest is history.
Over the years I've since moved from marketing role to marketing role, obviously some I have enjoyed more than others but I have known since my first day that I am now doing what I was meant to be doing. The years of honing of my skills and knowing I am good at what I do, (plus working in the latter years for some...questionable... managers - don't we all!) has all lead to me being confident enough to start my own business, be my own boss(!) and do a bloody good job for my clients.
Is every day perfect? No, of course it's not. Would I want to be anywhere else, doing something else? Hell no. I'm where I'm meant to be.
Stick with it. If you don't know where you're headed in life, where you want to be, what you want to do, I urge you to try everything, be open, be curious, ask people about their jobs and how they got there. You never know what will spark some interest and make you want to find out more.

Being your own boss is demanding. So let’s fuel ourselves right and keep our bodies performing at their best to keep us at our best. Here’s five of the best veg and why:
1. 🍵 Spinach. It’s got vitamin A, K and antioxidants - it’s packed full of good stuff. Mix it in with a bolognese, add it to pizza, blitz it up with some pine nuts, garlic and olive oil to make a pesto sauce, whip it up with your smoothie, or add it in to soup.
2. 🥕 Carrots. With vitamin A, C and potassium, it’s got something for everyone. Carrot chips are super tasty, grate carrots onto a salad, give them the noodle treatment, mash ‘em up, whiz 'em up and add to your pancake batter or cookie dough, or just cut them up and dip in hummus, that’s good too.
3. 🥦 Broccoli. It’s got vitamin A, C, K, folate, manganese, potassium - and beyond. Add it to a stir fry, season and oil it before roasting it whole, hide leftover cooked broccoli in your cheese toastie, whip it up to make a pasta sauce, or whip it up and add it into a chocolate cake mix.
4. 👾 Beetroot. It's packing fibre, folate, manganese and is rich in nitrates. Not bad. Chop it up small and mix it in with salsa, cut into wedges and mix with a bit of olive oil, honey, salt and pepper and roast it, add it into your veggie frittata, toss some in alongside the ‘toads’ in your next toad-in-the-hole.
5. 🫛 Peas. A super nutritious ball of goodness, peas have protein, fibre, vitamin A, C, K, plus lots more to keep you healthy. Mash them up for a tasty side, add them into any pasta sauce, mix them in with mushrooms for an omelette, whiz them up into a puree and add them to a cake batter, fry them with a little garlic and butter - mwah chef’s kiss!
What veg would you suggest to add in for ultimate fuelling?
Add these nutrient-packed veggies to your meals and watch your energy soar! Here's to a healthier, happier you. 💪🥦
Yes, that is a space alien emoji in place of a beetroot emoji...close enough.
