I weep for this country. 💔💔Tell me how we are underpaid and what they think is the solution is to restrict nurses from moving from one country to the other, either for education ( masters/PhD ) or work.

Nobody deserves this ! We are underpaid with little or no welfare benefit. There is more work to do to get these fixed than trampling on our fundamental human rights. This is unacceptable

Thinking about how our Government and The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) reason, gives me migraine. I need to know who advises these people, how do they come up with useless and embarrassing policies like this? 🤦‍♀️

Please this is the time for everyone to speak up 🙏. We are being held hostage o. Yes, keeping someone against his or her will is wrong !!

Some couple might be having recurrent miscarriages all because of previous sensitization and they won’t know what the problem is🤦‍♀️
Examples of events that can expose a woman to sensitization include but not limited to:
-Delivery
-Abortion
-D&C(Dilation and curettage)
-Miscarriage
-Placenta Abruptio
-Any cause of fetomaternal haemorrhage or transfusion
-Manual removal of placenta
- Multiple pregnancy (twins, triplets etc)
- Fetal blood Sampling during labour
- Intrauterine Fetal Death at 2nd and 3rd trimester) in the past or history of neonatal jaundice and early neonatal death (from hydrops fetalis)
-Spontaneous, induced or threatened miscarriages > 12 weeks GA
-Trauma to the abdomen (E.g Road Traffic Accidents, External Cephalic Version)
- Caesarean section
- Amniocentesis and Chorionic Villus Sampling (invasive procedures)
-Mid forceps operation
- Pre-eclampsia
- Molar Pregnancy
- Antepartum haemorrhage (abruptio, placenta previa)
- Transfusion of Rhesus + ve blood in rare emergencies where Rh - ve blood is not available
-Ectopic pregnancy.

Cod liver oil or high amount of vitamin A during pregnancy should be avoided.
Vitamin A can be seen on oral or cream products as retinol, tretinol, isotretinoin, accutane, tazaratone.

NB: omega- 3 supplements are safe during pregnancy , but cod liver oil is not safe during pregnancy because it contains retinol which can be harmful to your developing baby.

This is why you should read the ingredients used for any product before using them.

Dear preggos, mild swelling on legs and fingers are normal during pregnancy, but if your swelling is all over your face, fingers, legs please go to the hospital to rule out or confirm preeclampsia.

Preeclampsia happen when a woman is pregnant and have high blood pressure , protein in urine, accompanied with headaches that doesn’t go away, blurry vision, pain on the upper right belly pain.

It can be managed till delivery.The only cure for preeclampsia is to give birth. Even after delivery, symptoms of preeclampsia can last 6 weeks or more.

🤰This is why you shouldn’t joke with your antenatal visits. That is where your urine will be tested for protein. Detecting preeclampsia early may lower the chances of long term problems for both mom and baby.

🛌🛌 While sleeping during pregnancy you can wake up and find yourself sleeping on your back there is no need to get worried, quietly adjust and lie on either sides(left or right).
📍You can prop up by placing a pillow at your back to improve support.
📍Place a pillow between your knees and another pillow under your abdomen, it will help you sleep comfortably on your side.

Which of the trimesters was your best and
which one showed you shege?.
You see that 1st trimester 😫. Small but mighty😂😂

✅Symptoms/ minor disorders during each trimester

📍 During the first trimester
-Nausea and vomiting ( Morning sickness)
-Extreme tiredness
-Cravings and aversions
-Heightened sense of smell
-mood swings
-Metallic taste
-Tender and swollen breast

📍During the 2nd trimester
-Ni**le changes
-Feels baby’s movement
-back pain
-Pressure in the lower abdomen

❤️During the 3rd trimester
-Strong kicks from baby
-Swollen feet
-leaking from the breast
-Swollen feet
-Frequent urination.
-Constipation, heartburn and indigestion
-Braxton hicks contraction

📍Breathing technique is therapeutic. It helps in relaxation and reduces the ability for us to feel much pain👌.
📍During contractions it is important you embrace the relaxing, releasing, letting go breath techniques. This looks like: 👇

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out gently through your opened mouth.

📍When you breastfeed from one breast more your breast will probably be uneven . The breast which baby doesn’t suck always (with less stimulation) will be smaller.

NB📌when you start breastfeeding more on the smaller breast to make it even, your larger breast may become overfill with breast milk.
📍Do not completely neglect the larger breast or it could end up becoming the smaller one, and you would be right back where you started.
📍You can pump or hand express a little from that breast to relieve the pain and pressure and avoid breast engorgement.

HIV is not a death sentence. And yes, your partner can be HIV positive. All you have to do is to protect yourself with PrEP.
