The death of Marwell Zoo's male Amur tiger, Bagai
Awful news from Marwell Zoo this afternoon - the male Amur tiger, Bagai, has sadly died.
Carrie Arnold, Carnivore Team Leader, said: “He was lovable, goofy and cheeky. He was always playing 'hide and seek' with his keepers, trying to hide behind rocks and plants, not realising he was bigger than all of them.
“Bagai had a huge personality and was loved by everyone that saw him. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his keepers and the vet team.”

Marwell Zoo penguins
How cute are the new Marwell Zoo penguins 😭
They travelled down to Marwell from London on Monday, February 19, and joined Jacko, Sushi, Iggy (Igor) and Pistachio in the zoo's Penguin Cove.
It will take them a little time to settle into their new home and visitors are likely to notice the group establishing a new “pecking order” over the next few weeks.
