With the Olympic opening ceremony happening on Friday 26th in Paris, there are already many great sporting events happening. Here in Andover, we are no different.

‘Sports Through the Ages’ is taking place at the Andover Museum starting on Thursday 25th and running throughout the school holidays, join in this summer of sporty time travel with a fun-filled activity trail around the museum. If that is not enough, on Saturday 27th we join our friends from TVBC in hosting Andover’s Step into summer event on the High Street between 11am and 3pm. This celebration of all things sporty offers all kinds of sports themed activities and entertainment, with the opportunity to engage in loads of activities hosted by local sports clubs.

OK, so all that exercise might be too much. If the arts are more your thing, then the ANDOVER CULTURAL SHARING FORUM are hosting an “Pot Luck Art” event on 31st July from 6pm to 8pm in the Guildhall. 🥔NEW EATERY OPENED IN ANDOVER - THE DINNER JACKET 🥔

Lunchtimes in Andover have just got more interesting thanks to a new business that has opened selling Jacket Potatoes with a twist. As well as the usual spuds we're accustomed to, The Dinner Jacket offers some with fancier fillings!

The shop officially opened on Saturday 13th July at No. 7 Black Swan Yard and it's already proving popular with locals.

As well as jacket potatoes, they'll be serving baguettes, drinks and snacks.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to dress up smart to dine there!!

🙌WHAT'S ON THIS WEEKEND - IT'S CARNIVAL WEEKEND🙌

It's very nearly the school summer holidays, there is an excited buzz in town that can mean only one thing!! It is Andover Carnival weekend🥳 The whole town is coming together with live music, family activities and entertainment and a packed procession bursting with fun and creativity and memories from 100 years of andover Carnival. We are loving how this event is bringing local businesses and communities together and want to give you a full run down of where you need to be and when!!

💃Spin Bar & Nightclub Are hosting a Carnival Party on Saturday night from 10pm until late. Why not make a weekend of it and head into town for dinner and drinks and dancing - www.inandover.co.uk/business/category/pub/

👑Museum of The Iron Age & Andover Museum will be helping you to celebrate 100 years of Andover Carnival with Royal Crown Making - you will fit in with the wonderful Royals from the Past float joining the parade - pop into the museum between 11 and 3 on Sunday.

🤩Andover Carnival at Vigo Park has a big stage and fabulous line up of local bands. It will be bustling with fun on Sunday from 12pm right through until 9pm, with live music, fairground rides, entertainment and stalls for everyone.

🪢Andover Carnival - High Street Activities Fun on the High Street! From 12pm until 4.30pm, we will be rocking the High Street on Sunday, with a line up of live music and dancing, circus skills work shop, play mats of the smaller children, alpacas, crafting and more. If you see us dancing - please join in!!

🚛This year looks to be one of the largest Carnival processions in Andover's history, with over 30 groups, charities and businesses entering it measures up at over a third of a mile long! The procession is starting on Weyhill Road on Sunday and is set to pass through the town centre along Bridge Street for around 4.45 to 5ish! We will be heading down from the High Street stage and along Bridge Street with the Swan Samba band to join the parade outside Station Inn Andover

Andover Carnival 2024 comes to town NEXT SUNDAY 21/7. Wahoo!!

This year marks 100 years since the first ever Carnival in this town.

We are laying on entertainment and activities in the High Street from (12pm-4.30pm) for families to join in with on your way to and from Vigo Park (12pm-9pm) and to watch the wonderful procession whilst in town(4.15-5.45pm).

Come down to see and support the fabulous line up of performers on the High Street stage (from ) in front of the Guildhall.
