The journal launched in 2013 is the official Journal of the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine, since 2016 has been freely accessible to over 3,000 members of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine. While most imaging journals mainly publish original highly specific papers and research data, seldom conveying a comprehensive message to the more clinically oriented reader, CTI provides a

systematic and critical review of the different views and directions stemming from research findings. Thus the aim of CTI is not to compete with existing journals but rather to complement them. The journal complies with ethical guidelines, authors have to declare any Conflict of Interest in detail. Authors must also state that they conformed with the Helsinki Declaration of 1975 concerning Human and Animal Rights, and that they followed out policy concerning Informed Consent. Further details about the ethical policies are available under "Ethics & Disclosure". This is the journal of the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine (AIMN). AIMN members have free access to the journal. In addition AIMN members can also read the “European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging” free of charge. As part of this reciprocal agreement, EANM members also have free access to “Clinical and Translational Imaging”.
