At these sensitive times and moments where the world seems to be in total discordances: nations against nations, organizations against organizations, laws against practices, people against their leaders, and believes against traditions, we must not lose our humanity in such sorrow. We are stronger than the problems we create and we can solve them as we have always done since time immemorial. Today 20 March 2022, we commemorate international day of happiness as duly instituted, not because the world is facing deadly crises, but because we have the capacities and capability to seek solutions. We remember to remain internally happy, and mentally upright to address and overcome our global worries. It starts from YOU, where ever you are, if you are ‘happy’, you will kill ‘angry’ and ‘bitterness’, hence the spirit of tolerance, thereby encouraging others for same, therefore the opportunity for solution. ‘From the darkness nights comes forth the brightest days’. Remember to be happy, trust us at MAHSRA, it’s much easier, much healthier, and most problem solving.

MAHSRA Wishing a New Year 2022 Full of Good Health and Inter-human Relationship Healings for All
As an annual tradition corresponding to Modern Advocacy Humanitarian Social and Rehabilitation Association (MAHSRA)’s mission of care giving, especially to vulnerable persons, the 1st of January 2022, marked another opportunity for strengthening MAHSRA’s vision towards person-centred healthcare concerns.
MAHSRA’s volunteering care giving team lead by the CEO of MAHSRA, DrKelly Ngyah, opted for the regional hospital in Bamenda and was present to share the festive day with some on-bed sick patients. With compassionate knowledge that the 1st of January or new year day, is that which brings optimum joy to everyone with festivities organized in almost every home, MAHSRA has often suffered the burden of lack of equality for these special moments. Some, though capable and longing to feast like others, unfortunately find themselves in deplorable health conditions and in pains thus, confined to specific locations or positions that engender some degree of psychological torture.
In order for us to assist the Sustainable Development Goals, successfully attain its missions, we have to “leave no one behind”. MAHSRA believes in extending a hand of concern, hand of care, hand of fellowship, hand of mutual understanding and most importantly, a hand of peace within an atmosphere that gives hope. Hope was the vision over the 2022 support visit, hope to get well soonest, hope that though confined on a sick-bed you still deserve to feast like others and you are speedily awaited healthy and strong among your peers and the community.
Accompanied by few 2022 New Year gifts to the on-bed sick patients, Kongni Herman T. SG of All Anglophone Union for Peace and Development (AAUPD), and the head of social care unit for the Bamenda Regional Hospital, the message of hope and healings was graciously delivered by Rev. Berenice Tikum in the Pediatric ward or children healthcare unit and DR AYUK’s INFECTIOUS UNIT – Tuberculosis Centre and Hepatitis Focal Point of the regional hospital of Bamenda.
Always humbled in the service to humanity, MAHSRA wishes a gracious new year 2022, full of healing and good health to all its members and well-wishes.
