Less with Moore is a brand new show coming out during our Pledge Drive week for anyone who’s feeling down, pi**ed, nostalgic, and especially lonely right now.

If there’s one thing music should be good for, it’s letting us know we’re never going through it alone.

Hey CJAM fans!

It’s Pledge season and beyond monetary donations we could use some REAL FANS. We are looking for a donation of 7 tower fans for our offices, lobby, boardroom and studios.

If you’ve been in the station lately you know that it’s HOT in here 🥵

With all of our equipment it heats up quick and UWin students know that the school’s heat gets turned on in October and doesn’t get shut off until spring.

Our recording and live studio are stuffy year round but with the heat on + 70°-80° Windsor fall weather it is pretty unpleasant and hard for staff and volunteers to get their work done.

If you have tower fans you’re not using this season or are willing to part with for good, we could really use 7 of them in working condition.

Introducing CJAM's new Station Manager:

You may know Lix as CJAM's Program Director but she is ready to enter the next chapter of CJAM with you all as Station Manager. She plans on bringing you more events, volunteer meet-ups, a big fun Pledge, merch collabs, updates to our website and to spread the good word of CJAM on and off air! Lix is specifically interested in expanding partnerships with other grassroots arts and culture organizations, organizing more workshops and packing our airwaves and station with as much local talent as possible. Off air Lix can be found Bobbin around shaded streets, visiting local galleries or grooving to techno in Detroit. Come say hi!

Join us for an online chat this Friday, August 2, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, about the confluence between inspiration, transformation, and copyrights in arts and music.

If artists are influenced by what they see and originality can be tricky to define, how can we understand the function of copyright laws?

With the help of our speakers, we intend to raise awareness of this topic and bring light to the resources available to help guide indie artists in protecting their work.

Coming up at noon on CJAM Interviews: Alexia speaks to Anahí González about the upcoming exhibit ‘used as a material in the production of another’

The exhibit opened on Friday and you can experience it until August 17th.

“Anahí González’s artistic practice explores migration, Mexican labour, and identity with questions relating to commerce, systems of power and the event of photography through the mediums of photography, installations, and participatory practices.”
