Hey I’m Deanna or you can call me Anna, Creator + Principal Designer of Mångata Interiors. I lead a small team and strive to meet every project with contagious energy and passion for design. I like to focus on a collaborative experience between our process and our clients’ wishes. We actively seek out like minded individuals who are authentic and open to new possibilities.

The name Mångata is Swedish and roughly translates to the ‘road-like reflection of the moon on the water’ which to experience is somewhat magical and serene - the way you should feel in your home.

We offer a full range of services from new construction, residential design, e-design, furniture planning, and seasonal commercial decorating. I strive to create organic, clean spaces to my clients, opening them up to options they may not have known existed, creating a sense of ‘home’, and ultimately freeing up their time

I am also a mama to 3 amazing boys, Lennon (9), Vaughn (5) and Brooks (2). I have a secret love for big families, and am a hippy/homebirther at heart through the whole pregnancy/birth process. So if your a mama and ever want to chat I’m all ears. I was “considered” a teen mom having my first at just 19. With a growing business and very busy boys I’m definitely kept on my toes. They are my motivation to reach for the stars, dream big, and work hard.

Last summer we made a spur of the moment decision to leave Calgary and raise our family by the ocean. We packed our bags, listed our house as an airbnb, and made the trip to Victoria in only 3 weeks. It has been one of the most challenging years but we feel it was the best decision we could have made.

I enjoy adventures with my family, being a hockey mom, unique design and architecture, a good oat milk latte, red wine, and getting lost in a romance novel listening to the waves.

I currently am trying to expand my Vancouver Island relationships so please don’t hesitate to reach out. I also have books open for Fall/Winter 2024 with limited availability for large scale renovations! If you are interested in some design work shoot me an email to [email protected]

I took the opportunity to peak into our completed project and all I can say is the virtual pictures I had received did not do justice to how BEAUTIFUL this project turned out. I decided on the spot I’ll be back in Calgary this fall to professionally photograph this showstopper 🤪
