Lyndon BNPM or “DJ Lyndon of ” Lyndon’s interest in music and broadcasting began when he was very young. His mother, Mimose Pluviose, was a radio broadcaster in that beautiful city on Haiti’s north coast. Lyndon remembers, at the age of seven, visiting his mother’s studio and seeing the rack of analog broadcasting equipment and
thinking to himself, “One day I will follow in my mother’s footsteps and surround myself with this type of equipment. In the 1980s, as a boy, Lyndon would find a discarded turntable and speakers in a recycling pile and take his first steps to becoming a DJ in his Haitian neighborhood. After his mother’s premature death, Lyndon stayed with relatives in Haiti until in 1987, at the age of 16, he emigrated to Montreal, QC, Canada to live with his father’s side of the family. There he met Leonardo, another immigrant teen. The two young men gradually acquired some sound equipment, built some speakers from scratch and formed the “Double ‘L’ Mobile Disco Co.” Enlisting the help of of a group of friends, the pair would carry all their equipment on the subway and buses to DJ for parties and raves in Montreal. Lyndon is essentially a percussionist and is completely self-taught. He loves the creative potential of electronic synthesizers and has developed a passion for composing original electronic music as well as mixing and mashing House Music. Lyndon’s talent was recognized and he became a regular feature in the night clubs of Montreal during the 1990s. During that time, he had the opportunity to travel and perform abroad. He was the DJ for the Formula 1 car race in Montreal in 2006. In 2008, he moved to Western Canada and focused on broadcasting his house music on line. He has indeed amassed a large collection of electronic instruments and synthesizers. Always questing for interesting new beats and sounds, he continues to pursue his passion for electronic music. He has indeed followed in his mother’s footsteps.
