DYNO here, we were getting busy celebrating the music with you in 2023!! We are there for you with great WAVE music artists; making the magic happen with so many incredible shows & memories, connecting you and your fave artists to Vancouver & Wave 98.3

1. Saxxy Mindi Abair played 2 sold out shows at Blue Frog Studios in

2. Gabriel Mark Hasselbach who lives, plays and walks his dogs here in Vancouver year round + a SOLD OUT New Year's Eve show at Frankie's Jazz Club this year and last year too

3. At the Harmony Arts Festival close to , it was a wonderful outdoors summer show with juice, starrring energy ball, & husband (& rock) on drums, plus adding local much in demand bass player for a beautiful garden by the sea show. It was cool. Thanks for a nice summer memory! Music super fan, was there who took some fantastic pictures of the action too.

4. Steve Oliver + Cat Levan + Gabriel Mark Hasselbach at 2nd Floor Gastown Water Street Cafe

5. Rob Tardik pumped it up and energized with his intimate show at Frankie's. And he teaches guitar too. Wow, cool guy.

6. Terrell Edwards + making waves at the Massey Theatre, New Westminster , B C

7. Dave Koz, who has his own show on every SAT & SUN 8am to 10am - not to mention hosts wonderful Jazz cruises!

8. Brass Transit, with support from the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, came to town to blow away WAVE 98.3 listeners and Vancouver fans.

9. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis at Vancouver's historic and beautiful was a magical show that turned on many new WAVE listeners too. Thanks Coastal Jazz for making it happen!

10. The list goes on with so many superb musical partnerships Wave 98.3 had with our music community leaders - the smooth grooves Vancouver culture is now growing with so much enjoyment to share:

DYNO was lucky enough to spot the roaming army of Santas this past Saturday downtown on Granville Street. The hot dog guy Nic told me that an hour later an army of Elves passed by walking the other way. He said they seemed angry... I wonder what happened next? I never did find out. But there was a friendly elf with the Santas who gave me a package of retro pop rocks. Funny things is.. I knew what they were. Ho ho ho! Looks like they adopted a couple elves and a dairy cow and a teddy bear man.. Fun Vancouver, finally! #funvancouver #santa #vancouverbc #vancouver #holidayseason

DYNO on your weekend (10a-4p every SAT & SUN) Here's today's bike ride in to the WAVE downtown radio station. Still haven't bought a replacement car yet. Might as well do my eco part in the meantime. Very refreshing with brain freeze from the fast speed down the hill before the Granville St bridge. I'm tuckered out now making my way into Drizzle city Vancouver today, after the teasing snow yesterday. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm setting the mood in the radio station control room with the fireplace TV too. Feels warmer already.

DYNO on your weekend The WAVE 98.3 presents Steve Oliver Holiday Magic event at the Admiral Bar & Grill this past Thursday was great kick start to the holiday. Thanks to all our Wave listeners who made it out, and many stayed for the karaoke too. And a special thank you to Cat Levan - vocals, #vincemai - trumpet, #AlexanderBoytonJr - bass with glowing strings, and #steveoliver my guitar super hero for sharing the holiday spirit with us. DYNO's 1st 24 hours of December From our WAVE 98.3 studios to Gingerbread Lane at the #hyatthotelvancouver to Vancouver Christmas Market to #livenup free music shows in the big tent (FRI's & SAT's Dec 2023) at the Coal Harbour sea wall to Frankie's Jazz Club late night show - it was a busy day and night. Don't let a little Vancouver rain stop you from getting out. Hot chocolate helps.

DYNO still fillin' in for Stirling in the afternoon today (2-6pm) Stirling is back Monday afternoon. It's Dec 1st and so many Xmas events are starting. Free Ice skating starts today in North Vancouver's Shipyards..

DYNO biking to work this week (cause my car's fuel pump is toast - me thinks) has a way of slowing life down in a good way. It's nice to see the world sometimes in a different way - not from the inside of a speeding car for instance. Today was sunny and a nice ride too. Plus I'm getting some exercise, bout time for that. Xmas sweets time is coming, best to start early before the indulgence. ;)

DYNO & WAVE 98.3 hosted the Terrell Edwards & Krystle Dos Santos ~ a Classic Night of Soul show ~ at New West's newest venue for shows & dancing too ~ 8th & Eight - a 200 person intimate show room complete with dance floor - situated in the same building as the Massey Theatre - just walk down the hall past the restrooms at the end of the hall is this new venue. What a show too! Terrell & Krystle had the 1st show ever together and the full house crowd loved every minute of it. Take a peek yourself.. #terrelledward #krystledossantos :)

DYNO, being a kid is a fun sometimes. I was doing a walk in my hood last month and discovered this parents, teachers, kids celebration. Don't you wish every day was like this?? Fun fun fun. Swing your partner, wherever you are, just don't break the dishes!! :) I love the little screams of joy..

DYNO nice day for a walk & some exercise.. here's a fall walk idea for you. UBC's Wreck Beach nudees have split, too cold I think now, and it's just a nice wonderful fall day trip & some exercise along with sunsets, waves and stairs. Nature's stairmaster.. and a pretty one at that. UBC has a few palatial sets of stairs down to the beach. This was the one below the Museum of Anthropology.
