The Toronto 4-piece delivers hot hooks and electrifying lyrics on s*x, politics, culture, and the body with aggressive prowess. The band’s “boisterous live performances are filled with raw moments of pure sonic s**t, sweat, and leopard print” - Range Magazine. Formed in 2021 through fierce whips and intense roller derby bouts, Shiv and The Carvers are making their presence known while tapping their skates to the Riot Grrrl greats like Hole, Bikini Kill, and Veruca Salt.

This program covers songwriting, budgeting, booking, invaluable production techniques taught by Juno Winning producer , live performance tips by Teiya Kasahara, registration and licensing guides by Twin Fang Records, and vocal techniques and training for folks going undergoing testosterone hormonal transition.

Today is the 15th anniversary of Transgender Day of Visibility. Created by Rachel Crandall-Crocker, founder of non profit advocacy group, Transgender Michigan. TDOV is a day to celebrate transgender lives, experiences, their existence, and so much more.

We want you to celebrate the trans people in your lives today and everyday. Support them, give them love, and be present for them. We’re living in a time where people are actively trying to eradicate trans kids and adults by removing access to healthcare, education, and freedom and using tactics like intimidation to silence them. We will not be silenced. We will not stand for this bigotry. Not today, not any day.
