Local principal catches attention of Prime Minister Trudeau
On April 24, Principal Michael Faught of Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School shared a clip on Twitter addressing the Holy Cross community.
While the clip shows Faught speaking to the school's staff and students encouraging them to stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic, we can't help but see similarities to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's daily updates.
The clip reached far beyond the Holy Cross community, catching the attention of Trudeau himself! See the Twitter interaction here: https://twitter.com/JustinTrudeau/status/1254463261581377538

Extend-A-Family Kingston goes online!
Today's #GoodNews is from Extend-A-Family (Kingston) as they move their programming online!
Extend-A-Family provides support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily aid and respite care. However, due to COVID-19, they have had to cease their programming, leaving participants without their usual support.
Scott Taylor, the director of Data Systems, Intake and Day Programs at Extend-A-Family Kingston, shared with Station 14 that they have been working hard to create "virtual" programming, free of charge! As of today (Monday), activities such as Science with Dr Bunsen, virtual walks, music circles and fitness programs will be made available over Zoom!
The Extend-A-Family Kingston team put together this video to boost spirits and bring a smile to your face!
