August 26 is National Dog Day!

Winner - Kydo

His name “Kai” = Ocean/Sea + “to” = To fly. Kaito pronounced and now spelled Kydo literally means “Flying over the Sea” he was rescued from Korea and flew a long way to make comox valley his home. He loves exploring all our forests.

Finalist - Maddie

Madde is a 6 year old Labradoodle who loves living in the Comox Valley. She can go from a hike at Nymph Falls to a romp at Airforce Beach! Life is good!

Finalist - Paisley May

Paisley is an almost 4 year old rescue from Missouri. She loves being outside, car rides and snuggling with her people.

It was a time where I went to school angry almost every single day. Maybe to process that and maybe for cathartic reasons, I wrote a short, I called it, My Name is Arnold.”
