Need some advise from more experienced bulldog owners...

My bulldog "boogey" is the sweetest little guy, he is my wifes shadow and she takes him with her the nail salon she runs where he has become the mascot.

The issue he has developed is what i can only describe as fear aggression toward my mother who lives with us and has since we got boogey at 8 weeks old. Whenever she comes out from her room he has started rushing her and growling/barking. Today he actually jumped and tried to bite her hand. He only does this when my wife or I are present. When we're not there my mother says he avoids her at all costs.

She is older and overwieght so she she walks slowly and shuffles, and im afraid he will knock her over.

Any ideas why this might be happeneing or ways to break him of doing this. When it happens i have progressively gotten harsher with corrections from a simple "no!" To today actually putting him on his back and hovering for a few minutes until he gave in and started licking my arm.

I am a long time dog owner but this is our first billdog and training has been challenging to say the least😂
