The atmosphere was exciting as people cheered and laughed together. The festival was truly a sight to see, and it was a pleasure to be part of the celebration. Here I'm sharing some of my photos of Shakrain.

A close contact with nature of Sreemangal

-Ashraful Arefin

Sreemangal, the tea capital of Bangladesh, is a wonderful place to visit time and again. The lush green tea gardens, beautiful roads and calm nature keep me coming back. The best way to explore the town along with the tea gardens is to take a CNG auto rickshaw. This time, the driver of the auto rickshaw I hired knew all the spots well and took me to such places.

I began my journey spending a beautiful morning in the Noorjahan tea estate. It is one of the biggest tea estates in Sreemangal. I got to see a few tea workers working in the garden. The fresh air in the tea garden was soul-touching.

Next, I went to explore the Lawachara National Park. It was quite amazing to be in close contact with nature. There is a railway that goes through the forest which seems like a magical portal. I explored the forest and got to visit a Khasia village on top of a hill inside the forest. It was interesting to see a different social lifestyle. I particularly enjoyed the betel leaf cultivation. At almost every house, they were processing betel leaves.
I concluded my trip by watching a beautiful sunset at Madhabpur lake. There were very few tourists as it was alsmot evening. I enjoyed the sunset all by myself.

The cycles of freedom

- Nasif Imtiaz

When I was Dinajpur, I realised that girls feel much safer there than in the city. Surrounded by forests on both sides of the road, girls commute from one place to another on their bicycles.

The sight of women cycling is not common in Dhaka, but it is a conventional practice for women from parts of North Bengal. They are taught to ride bicycles from a very young age, and they use it for commuting to school, college, madrasa, etc. It is part of their everyday lives.

"We want all boys and girls to be independent. A bicycle is just a vehicle, you don’t have to be a man to ride it. I taught my daughter to ride a bicycle when she was a kid. If she wants to ride a motorcycle in the future, I will not stop her. I don't see any difference between bicycle and motorcycle except for the engine," said a father.

Visual diary of Siem Reap, the city of temples

- Saud Al Faisal

Situated on the Indochinese Peninsula, Cambodia is bordered by Thailand and Laos on the north and Vietnam on the east and south, A country with diversified history, culture and natural beauty has made Cambodia a one of the most exciting destination to explore.

I started my photographic journey from it's capital city Phnom Penh. The best way to roam around within the city is Tuktuk ( three wheeler), however as I stayed near the Royal Palace, I got the chance to explore the city by walking. The capital has a harsh political history specially during the Khmer Rouge regime dictator Pol Pot killed more than 2 million people. Witnessing the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Field will make anyone distressed.
