Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently approved the appointment of Ibrahim Eren as the 17th director general (DG) of public broadcaster Turkish Radio and Television (TRT).

Turkey's cabinet appointed Eren, who had been serving as deputy DG of TRT for four years and had established the country's first international English-language news channel, TRT World.

"It's an honour that I'm appointed as the director general to one of the most prestigious media institutions that has a 53-year history. I will, God willing, work hard to achieve success as the DG. I am committed to working even harder in this new role compared to when I was the deputy DG, serving under the roof of the same institution, " Eren said.

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that as many as 212 million people, or half of all adults currently living with diabetes, are undiagnosed. Most of these have type 2 diabetes.

IDF has created an online diabetes risk assessment which aims to predict an individual’s risk of developing type 2 diabetes within the next ten years. The test is based on the Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC) developed and designed by Adj. Prof Jaana Lindstrom and Prof. Jaakko Tuomilehto from the National Institute for Health and Welfare, Helsinki, Finland.

The test takes only a couple of minutes to complete. It is a quick, easy, and confidential way to find out your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

২৫.০৮.২০২৩ তারিখ সন্ধ্যায় বাংলাদেশ বেতার কক্সবাজার কেন্দ্র থেকে সরাসরি প্রচারিত হয়েছে হারানো দিনের বেশ কয়েকটি গান । হারানো দিনের গানসমূহ একই সঙ্গে কেন্দ্রের ফেসবুক থেকেও সম্প্রচারিত হয়েছে। ধন্যবাদ বাংলাদেশ বেতার কক্সবাজার কেন্দ্রের শিল্পী অদিতি বড়ুয়া এবং এই অনুষ্ঠানে যে সমস্ত যন্ত্রীবৃন্দ ছিলেন তাদের সকলকে । একই সাথে কেন্দ্রের সকল কর্মকর্তা এবং কর্মচারীদের কেউ জানাই আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা। বেতারের অনুষ্ঠান এখন নিয়মিত সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় সারা বিশ্বব্যাপী সমাদৃত হচ্ছে। বাংলাদেশ বেতার সবার জন্য, সব সময় , সবখানে।
