Hey everyone!

Welcome to the new crowdfunding page. I’m directing and writing a romance musical short film called “Heidi” and I need your support!

It’s an extremely personal film for not only myself, our crew, but everyone involved because the film is about unrequited love and how we creatives process and express ourselves through art. Not only is it personal because of the subject matter, but it’s also personal because it’s a passion project, being a lover of indie musicals that take the romance genre and do something different, and that’s what I plan to do. Use the romance musical format and turn it into a story from my hometown and make something original that we all relate to.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to pay the cast and crew, travel expenses, hiring and paying for catering and accommodation, rent equipment, production design/wardrobe and makeup/hairstyling, along with the other expenses during the production and post-production.

Making this film has been difficult to get afloat due to its sensitive subject matter, scale and the fact that it’s a > 30-long musical short film being made out of university and film school. We have all the rights to the music and a hardworking crew motivated to get this story to the screen. We have pre-production underway and a strong drive to start production in early 2023.

I’ll be so grateful to anyone and everyone who donates to help get this film into production.
