Regular, meaningful conversations with the people close to you can help prevent small things from becoming big things.
By checking in regularly, you build trust and normalise talking about what’s really going on, so when the people in your world find themselves struggling, they know you’re someone they can talk to.

We partnered with Feed The Hungry for Take Away Hunger Day and you dug deep and showed the children of Uganda that they're not alone.
If these kids are going to break the poverty cycle in their own lives, they need to have a good education. And often, a hungry belly is an insurmountable hurdle standing between a student and the opportunity to learn. You are part of making that happen.
Thank you, Hopeland!

Psalm 23:4 offers a profound reflection on the nature of faith and fear.
The darkest valley symbolises our deepest fears, the moments of uncertainty, loss and pain that we encounter along the way. These valleys may be illness, grief, failure or existential doubt – looming large, casting doubts upon our hearts.
May we find solace in the promise of Psalm 23:4, trusting that even in the darkest valleys, God’s light shines brightest.

James was orphaned in the South Sudan war when his father was shot in front of him. Traumatised, he struggled to recover from his experience, but his auntie’s love and his own determination enabled him to persist. “The only thing I was thinking was, ‘If I keep going on with my study, my life story will change forever’,” he says. At school he received a hot, nutritious meal. As his body was strengthened, so was his spirit. “We appreciate the people who bring food here. Because when the food was not here, we were hungry!” Now he dreams of becoming a businessman so he can provide for and protect his auntie, just as she protected and provided for him.
