Magdalena Ball reads Dorothy Porter's 'Everything Becomes Mysterious (after Rilke)'
This week, our reader in the LEGERE Virtual Poetry Festival is Magdalena Ball. Magdalena is the first reader in the festival who is not published by Pitt Street Poetry, and we hope she won't be the last. We encourage poets to send us readings of their work and poems they love in a similar vein to the readings we've so far posted. If you have at least one book published, we'd love to hear from you.
Today, Magdalena will read Dorothy Porter's 'Everything Becomes Mysterious (after Rilke)’ and tomorrow she'll read one of her own poems.
Magdalena was born in New York City, where she attended university before moving to Oxford to study English Literature at a postgraduate level. She migrated to NSW Australia, where she now resides on a rural property with her husband and three children. She writes novels, poetry and reviews.
